CEVA Logistics in Manila seeks a Solutions Design Specialist to support the tender process, develop technical and commercial responses, and collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Legal. The role focuses on IP&ES tenders, pricing strategies, and ensuring compliant, competitive bids.

You will work with Engineering, Chartering, Operations, QHSE, Legal, and Finance to deliver high-quality proposals and optimize profitability while meeting client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Solution Design team during tender stages and inquiries.
• Analyze and manage tenders, RFQs, and RFPs for IP&ES from local and global teams.
• Design and provide technical solutions with SMEs across Engineering, Chartering, Operations, QHSE, Legal, Finance.
• Assess tenders for pre-qualification, exemptions, technical specs, and pricing requirements.
• Prepare compliant, competitive commercial bid responses within deadlines.
• Develop pricing models and coordinate with pricing teams to optimize carrier and service provider rates.
• Collaborate with operations to design tailored logistics solutions for IP&ES.
• Conduct postmortem analyses and generate tender performance reports.
• Oversee online bid portals when required and monitor pricing effectiveness.

YOUR ROLE

Supporting Solution Design Team to prepare high-quality responses to tender documents and ensuring compliance with client requirements, monitoring industry trends and competitor pricing strategies to refine bidding approaches.

Collaborating with stakeholders involved in tender process to align on the commercial and technical aspects of tender response.

Maintaining the database of pricing models and strategies to maximize profitability while ensuring market competitivene

Collaborating with sales, finance, and legal teams to gather necessary information for bids.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

• 1 Provide Support to Solution Design team during tender stage, any tender-related inquiries and communications.
• 2 Analyze and manage tenders, RFQs, and RFPs for IP&ES from local clients, regional offices, and global teams, ensuring coordination with relevant offices for data collection and integration into technical & commercial proposals.
• 3 Design and provide technical solutions in coordination with the Company’s SMEs, i.e., Engineering, Chartering, Operations, QHSE, Legal, Finance, etc.
• 4 Assess, review, and evaluate tenders, bids, and proposals to verify pre-qualification criteria, contractual exceptions, technical specifications, and pricing requirements.
• 5 Prepare and submit accurate, compliant, and competitive commercial bid responses, including contract exception lists, within set deadlines.
• 6 Develop competitive pricing models to maximize profitability, coordinate with global and local pricing teams to secure optimal carrier and service provider rates for incorporation into commercial proposals.
• 7 Collaborate with the operations team to design tailored logistics solutions for IP&ES, including support for the Project Control Center as needed.
• 8 Conduct postmortem analyses and generate periodic reports on tender performance, win/loss trends, and project timelines.
• 9 Oversee online customer bid portals for online bidding, when required.
• 10 Monitor pricing effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly.
• 11 Maintain pricing database in line with strategy set forward by Global Solution Design Team
• 12 Overseeing vendor selection and following the Group`s strategy depending on each project requirements/geography/scope etc.
• 13 Take on additional responsibilities as assigned, supporting specific departments, divisions, or individualized projects.
• 14 Attend internal meetings to review tender performance and business outcomes and prepare materials for those meetings.
• 15 Maintain acceptable Health, Safety and Environmental risk levels in his/her area of responsibility.
• 16 Ensure the compliance with applicable legal requirements.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Bachelor Degree
• Experience in Customer Service / Pricing structure within Freight Forwarding
• Experience in Operational Role in Freight Forwarding / Project Logistics
• Analytic and work organisation skills.
• Customer oriented & team player.
• Able to work under the pressure and strict deadlines.
• Able to travel abroad if required.
• Good time management techniques.
• Computer Literacy (MS Office).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate and discuss on tender related subjects.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-national and diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret highly complex tender documentation
• Effectively present information and respond to questions from network, suppliers and customers.
• Working knowledge of IT technical disciplines related to systems architecture, operating systems, programming environments and databases.
• Ability to develop short and long-range project planning, and effectively communicate information to diverse work groups.
• Ability to solve critical issues in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills including diplomacy and patience.
• Demonstrated skills in organization group process, problem identification and resolution.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities.
