Job summary

Power 4 All, Inc. is seeking a Technician (Solar) in the Philippines to install, maintain, and troubleshoot solar PV systems and related equipment on project sites, ensuring reliable performance and safety.

The role requires 1–2 years of solar experience, a relevant certificate/degree, and certification as a Solar PV Installer. You will use PV monitoring tools, adhere to safety protocols, and educate clients on basic care and upkeep.

Qualifications

  • Certificate or Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in solar PV installation or electrical systems maintenance is preferred.
  • Certification as a Solar PV Installer (e.g., TESDA NC2) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Install solar PV systems (modules, racking, inverters, monitoring equipment) according to standards.
  • Perform regular maintenance, inspections, and cleaning of solar panels and components.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical issues in solar equipment.
  • Monitor installation performance using digital tools and provide reports on efficiency.
  • Record and report energy production and equipment data to identify maintenance needs.
  • Follow safety protocols on rooftops, at heights, and in confined spaces.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes and renewable energy standards.
  • Conduct safety checks and read designs to prevent accidents.
  • Provide clients with guidance on basic system care and maintenance.

About the role

Power 4 All, Inc. is currently looking for a Technician (Solar) to join our team. The role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and associated equipment. This position plays a key part in ensuring solar power systems operate efficiently and reliably, contributing to our mission of providing sustainable energy solutions.

Key responsibilities
  • Install solar PV systems, including modules, racking, inverters, and monitoring equipment, according to industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Perform regular maintenance, inspections, and cleaning of solar panels, wiring, and system components to ensure optimal operation.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical issues in solar equipment.
  • Monitor the performance of solar installations using digital tools and provide regular reports on efficiency and potential areas for improvement.
  • Record and report data on energy production and equipment performance to identify maintenance needs and potential system upgrades.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while working on rooftops, high elevations, and confined spaces.
  • Ensure all installations and repairs comply with local, state, and national electrical codes, and renewable energy standards.
  • Conduct safety checks and reading designs on all solar components and work environments to prevent accidents.
  • Provide clients with guidance on basic system care and maintenance best practices.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide support in a professional and timely manner.
About you
  • Certificate or Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in solar PV installation or electrical systems maintenance.
  • Certification as a Solar PV Installer (e.g., Mechatronics, TESDA NC2)
  • Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools used in electrical work.
  • Familiarity with PV system monitoring software and tools.
  • Strong understanding of electrical wiring, circuitry, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to diagnose issues quickly and provide effective solutions.
  • Precise handling of equipment and tools, with strong quality control awareness.
  • Ability to clearly explain technical information to clients and team members.
  • Willingness to travel to different project sites as needed.
