Job summary

MPP Meat Import Corporation is seeking a Solar Project Engineer to design, manage and implement solar energy systems from concept to commissioning. You will lead planning, conduct site assessments, and coordinate with contractors to ensure on-time delivery while meeting safety and regulatory standards.

You will use PVsyst, AutoCAD and Helioscope to create layouts and perform energy yield analyses, while monitoring performance with SCADA and SolarEdge tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing and managing solar PV projects.
• Ability to interpret performance data and optimize energy production.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Experience maintaining field assets and company-provided equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, planning, and implementation of solar projects including PV systems.

About the role

Design, develop, and implement solar energy systems, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and regulatory compliance. Lead project management and provide technical support to achieve successful and efficient solar installations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, planning, and implementation of solar energy projects, including photovoltaic (PV) systems, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and energy yield analyses to optimize system performance and cost-efficiency
• Utilize design software such as PVsyst, AutoCAD, or Helioscope for system design and simulation
• Create detailed electrical and structural layouts for solar installations
• Operate and analyze test readings using Power Quality Analyzer (PQA)
• Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept to commissioning, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project delivery
• Ensure project compliance with renewable energy regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE)
• Provide technical expertise during installation, testing, and commissioning of solar systems
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring system reliability and performance while minimizing downtime

• Interpret data and generate reports to ensure optimal energy production and system efficiency
