Job summary

Staff Pilot in Australia is seeking a hands-on solar design and sales support specialist to be the first point of contact for new leads during Adelaide business hours. You will design residential solar and battery systems, build quotes in simPRO, and book site visits for the sales team, ensuring smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.

Strong English communications are essential, as is reliability and fast internet.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing residential solar PV and battery systems for Australian customers.
• Experience building solar quotes including equipment and labour, ideally in simPRO.
• Confident on the phone with Australian homeowners: taking enquiries, qualifying leads and booking appointments.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• A video introduction is required.
• Reliable fast internet with a backup connection, backup power and a good computer setup.
• Available to work Adelaide business hours, Monday to Friday.
• Pylon Observer experience (nice to have).
• Electrical engineering degree or background (nice to have).
• Experience with major solar and battery brands such as Sungrow, GoodWe, Tesla Powerwall and Sigenergy (nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls from new leads and enter every lead into simPRO with full details
• Pick up online form enquiries as they come in and respond quickly, before the customer goes to a competitor
• Design residential solar and battery systems in Pylon Observer, including panel layout and cable runs
• Build the quote in simPRO, including equipment and labour, ready for the sales team
• Book site visits directly into the sales team's simPRO schedule with the customer's details, location and what they are after
• Follow up leads and customers by phone and email
• Help with back-end paperwork once a job goes ahead, such as finance applications, network connection paperwork, STC compliance forms and warranty packs

About the role
