Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP in the Philippines is seeking a Software Dev Engineer to design, implement, and optimize high‑performance networking software in C/C++. This hybrid role requires about two days per week in an HPE office to collaborate with the EVO Infrastructure team.

Job Description

About the Job We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, innovate, and maintain our high-performance networking software. In this role, you will work at the distributed applications and core infastucture software, ensuring our network infrastructure is ultra-reliable, lightning-fast, and adaptive. As part of our EVO Infrastructure team, you will dive deep into issues involving distributed applications as well core infrastructure to diagnose bottleneck issues, optimize resource utilization, and re-architect complex legacy components. Beyond traditional networking tasks, you will play a pivotal role in modernizing our engineering ecosystem by evaluating, testing, and integrating Generative AI Agents into automated operational workflows and system diagnostic pipelines. If you are passionate about C/C++ development, high-throughput system performance, and using data-driven analysis to make network software more scalable and resilient, this role offers a platform to make a direct impact on our core product capabilities and overall end-user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, qualify and maintain networking software
• Evaluate the current inefficiencies, complexities, and flaws in networking software, and propose designs, software, and processes to improve them.
• Innovate the software and use quantifiable analysis to make it more scalable, efficient, and deliver a good customer experience

What you need to bring

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent. 6-9 years of experience with software development in C/C++.

Preferred qualifications

• 6-9 years of engineering experience building networking softwares
• 4 years of experience with data structures/algorithms
• Strong command of Linux OS fundamentals, shell utilities
• Experience building high-availability, low-latency, and high-throughput systems
• Experience working/integrating Generative AI Agents with workflows
