Job summary

Allegro MicroSystems Philippines seeks an entry-level Associate Cybersecurity Engineer to support protection of digital assets under supervision. You will monitor security alerts, assist with vulnerability scans, and respond to basic security events while learning security operations and tools.

You will collaborate with global IT to keep environments patched, pursue relevant certifications, and contribute to security governance and policy implementation to meet company goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology or any related field.
• Experience or familiarity with IT security concepts and security operations.
• Willingness to pursue certifications and learn new security technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage in-place security solutions and identify, investigate and resolve incidents detected by those systems.
• Participate in the creation and maintenance of policies, standards, baselines, guidelines and procedures as well as conducting vulnerability audits and assessments.
• The SOC Analyst is expected to be fully aware of the enterprise's security goals as established by its stated policies, procedures and guidelines and to actively work towards upholding those goals.
• Participate, where applicable, in the respective areas of an enterprise Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery Plan.
• Keep current with emerging technologies by pursuing certifications in your area of expertise that support company strategic goals.
• Awareness of security laws, regulations, guidance, policies and directives would be helpful
• Work with the global IT organization to ensure our environment is fully patched and secured
• Identify IT security risks from technical and functional perspectives
• Conduct technical analysis, make change control recommendations, and communicate with business customers.
• Continual improvement of skills related to SIEM tools

Job Summary

The Associate Cybersecurity Engineer is an entry-level professional who supports the protection of Allegro's digital assets. This role works under close supervision to monitor security alerts, assist with vulnerability scanning, and respond to basic security events, learning the fundamentals of security operations and tools at Allegro.
