Job Summary

The Quality Technician is a skilled team member responsible for performing a variety of inspections and tests to ensure products and processes meet quality standards. This role builds upon foundational knowledge to use more complex measurement equipment and interpret quality data. Working under general supervision, the Quality Technician is a reliable contributor to identifying and containing quality issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sets up and operates various measurement and inspection equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, electronic testers) to verify product conformance to specifications.
  • Performs first-article inspections, in-process audits, and final inspections.
  • Interprets blueprints, diagrams, and engineering specifications to determine inspection requirements.
  • Documents and reports non-conformances and assists in basic data collection for problem-solving activities.
Qualifications
  • Typically requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of experience in a technical support role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Solid understanding of quality control principles and inspection techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience using a variety of metrology and testing equipment.
