Job summary

OpsArmy is seeking an experienced Small Business Tax Accountant (CPA/EA preferred) to provide Level 2 support for complex US tax, accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll questions. You will work directly with clients to explain tax concepts, resolve escalated issues, and ensure accurate records across Form 1040/C schedules and Form 1120-S responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated professional accounting and tax experience with hands‑on knowledge of US individual and small business taxation.
• Required technical tax experience: Form 1040 / Schedule C; Form 1120‑S; quarterly estimated taxes; S Corporation compensation; ability to explain concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized Level 2 support for complex US tax, accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries.
• Investigate and resolve escalated and directly assigned accounting and tax support tickets.
• Review and troubleshoot bookkeeping discrepancies, account reconciliations, and accounting transactions.
• Assist clients with individual and sole proprietorship tax return questions (1040, Schedule C) and S Corporation taxes (1120-S).
• Handle quarterly estimated tax payments, self-employment tax, safe harbor rules, and deadlines.
• Explain tax concepts and financial information to clients in clear, accessible language.
• Coordinate with internal specialists and escalate when needed.
• Document resolutions and maintain accurate client records.
