Job summary

DM Consunji, Inc. is seeking a Site Engineer - Mechanical to supervise and coordinate mechanical works on our construction projects. You will oversee installation, ensure drawings and specs are followed, and coordinate with structural, electrical, and plumbing teams.

You will monitor progress, manage materials and costs, and uphold safety and quality during installation, testing, and commissioning. A bachelor's in mechanical engineering and professional licensure are preferred, with at least

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Site Engineer - ME is responsible for the overall supervision and coordination of mechanical works within a construction project.

He/She monitors workmanship, materials, and installation activities, conducts inspections, supports testing and commissioning and ensures that all mechanical works are properly documented and completed within the required quality, cost, and schedule parameters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Site Supervision

• Supervises the installation and execution of mechanical works in accordance with approved drawings.

• Monitors daily site activities, materials and equipment.

Technical and Engineering

• Reviews mechanical drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and method statements.

• Identifies and resolve technical issues and discrepancies encountered on site.

• Coordinates mechanical requirements with structural, architectural, electrical, plumbing, and other disciplines.

Mechanical Installation

• Supervises the installation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, equipment, ventilation, and other mechanical systems, as applicable to the project.

• Verifies that installations are properly aligned, supported, and installed according to approved plans.

Progress and Cost Monitoring

• Monitors that progress of mechanical works.

• Assists in tracking material requirements, quantities, and project accomplishments.

• Reports potential delays, additional works, and other issues that may affect project cost or schedule.

Safety and Compliance

• Ensures that mechanical activities are performed in compliance with project safety requirements and applicable regulations.

• Coordinates with the EHS team to address safety concerns related to mechanical works.

• Ensures that workers follow proper safety procedures during installation, testing, and commissioning.

JOB QUALIFICATION

• Holds a Bechelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• Licensed Mechanical Engineer, preferably.

• With at least 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical construction and site supervision.

SKILLS / CORE COMPETENCIES

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage.
• Knowledgeable in interpreting mechanical drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and technical drawings.
