Job summary

OceanaGold’s Didipio mine on Luzon Island, Philippines, is seeking a Specialist – Maintenance Planning (Shutdown). The role focuses on creating and overseeing shutdown schedules, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering robust plans for medium- and long-term shutdown activities.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical/electrical/civil engineering background and at least 3 years in shutdown planning, preferably in mining or heavy industry. On-site accommodation and health insurance are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years in maintenance shutdown planning & scheduling.
• Experience with fixed plant equipment and maintenance engineering.

Responsibilities

• Create and oversee maintenance shutdown schedules and plans.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations.
• Develop medium- and long-term shutdown plans aligned with the events calendar.
• Finalize detailed planning for shutdown work orders and schedules.
• Participate in risk assessments, prepare materials and tooling, manage pre-shutdown staging.
• Monitor progress, communicate status, and adjust plans as needed.
• Demobilize labour, tools, and spares after shutdown completion.
• Capture lessons learned to improve future shutdowns.
