Job summary

Austal Philippines in Balamban, Cebu seeks a Production Supervisor (Fitout) to lead trades and ensure safe, on-time delivery of high-quality shipbuilding work, aligned with project plans and budgets.

You will oversee daily task plans, toolbox talks, monitor resources, and coach the team to meet quality standards and safety requirements while embodying Austal's values.

This role requires strong leadership, drawing interpretation skills, and hands-on supervision with prior supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any relevant course or degree. (Trade course is an advantage.)
• At least 3 years' experience in trade-specific shipbuilding.
• Hands-on technical know-how in trade-specific drawing interpretation.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership, planning, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and able to interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge of occupational health, safety, and first aid (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement daily/weekly task plans aligned with production goals.
• Lead toolbox meetings and ensure compliance with HSE protocols (JSEA, PPE, Permits).
• Monitor labour and material usage, reduce rework, and promote cost-efficient operations.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer satisfaction.
• Track team skills and performance and implement coaching and corrective actions as needed.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, and Austal's values across the department.
