Job summary

Austal Philippines in Balamban, Cebu is seeking an experienced Area Coordinator to lead and coordinate multiple trades within our shipbuilding project. Under the supervision of the Construction Manager, you will ensure work packages are executed on time, within budget and to the required quality, by guiding trade supervisors and teams.

This role requires strong leadership, practical vessel construction knowledge and excellent planning skills.

Qualifications

• Relevant or aligned trade qualification.
• Senior First Aid.
• Leadership development.
• HSEQ development.
• Demonstrate related technical skills, vessel outfit (pipe, electrical, fabrication, fitout)
• Demonstrate practical Leadership skills; e.g strong interpersonal skills, people management and communication skills
• Strong time management, resource planning and scheduling skills. Demonstrate ability to deliver to deadlines.
• Understanding of organisational policies, business standards, procedures/work instructions and guidelines; including, but not restricted to HSEQ and P&C.
• Able to manage conflict.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of trades through relevant trade supervisors.
• Ensure work packages of various trades are executed and completed on time, within budget and quality.
• Deliver high levels of performance in completing a given scope for an area of the vessel.
