Job summary

Austal Philippines is seeking a Production Supervisor (Mechanical) in Balamban, Cebu, to lead tradesmen and ensure safe, on-time delivery of high-quality work aligned with project plans and budgets.

The role requires 3+ years in shipbuilding trade, supervisory experience, and strong leadership. You will oversee task plans, tool-box meetings, and adherence to quality, safety, and productivity standards while promoting Austal's values and teamwork across the department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any relevant course or degree.
• Trade course is an advantage.
• Hands-on technical know-how in interpreting trade drawings.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership, planning, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and able to interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge of occupational health, safety, and first aid preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement daily/weekly task plans aligned with production goals.
• Lead toolbox meetings and ensure compliance with HSE protocols (JSEA, PPE, Permits).
• Monitor labour and material usage, reduce rework, and promote cost-efficient operations.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer satisfaction.
• Track team skills and performance and implement coaching and corrective actions as needed.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, and Austal's values across the department.
