Job summary

Makro Philippines is seeking a Shift Operations Supervisor to lead DC and FC activities on a designated shift. You will oversee receiving, storage, inventory control, and order fulfillment while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will coordinate with logistics teams, supervise warehouse staff, and drive KPI attainment including productivity and accuracy across all fulfillment channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years in warehouse, DC, FC, or retail logistics.
• 1-2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Shift Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating warehouse, distribution, and fulfillment activities during an assigned shift. This role ensures efficient inbound, storage, inventory management, order processing, picking, packing, shipping, and dispatch operations while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards. The supervisor leads warehouse associates and team leaders to achieve operational KPIs and customer service objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

• Supervise daily DC and FC operations, including receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and returns processing.
• Monitor workflow and allocate manpower to meet productivity and service level targets.
• Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of retail store and e-commerce orders.
• Coordinate with transportation and logistics teams to ensure on-time dispatch and delivery.
• Resolve operational issues and escalate critical concerns as needed.
• Lead, coach, and motivate warehouse associates and team leaders.
• Conduct shift briefings and communicate daily targets and operational priorities.
• Monitor employee performance and provide feedback and coaching.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of team members.
• Manage attendance, scheduling, and workforce planning.

Inventory & Quality Control

• Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts and stock audits.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain compliance with inventory control procedures and warehouse standards.
• Monitor order accuracy and minimize fulfillment errors.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce workplace safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure proper use of warehouse equipment.
• Lead incident reporting and corrective action implementation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, labor regulations, and operational standards.

Performance Management

• Track and analyze shift KPIs, including:
• Productivity
• Inventory accuracy
• Safety metrics
• Prepare daily and weekly operational reports.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Transportation, Inventory Control, Merchandising, and Retail Operations teams.
• Support peak season planning and special operational projects.
• Participate in process improvement and warehouse optimization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of warehouse, distribution center, fulfillment center, or retail logistics experience.
• At least 1-2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management, and logistics operations.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
