Job summary

The role requires strong stakeholder management, communication skills, and experience in hybrid work settings with on-site and remote collaboration. Prior Hi Tech exposure is a plus.

Job description

Serve as a Engagement Manager/Project manager for enterprise implementations of ServiceNow CMDB and ServiceNow SAM coordinating cross functional teams to deliver high quality solutions on time within scope and budget. Apply project management practices and Hi Tech domain awareness to optimize configuration item data software asset visibility and compliance in a hybrid work model without travel requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage end to end delivery of ServiceNow CMDB and ServiceNow SAM projects ensuring all phases from initiation to closure follow established project governance and meet defined scope schedule and quality targets.
• Coordinate cross functional teams of ServiceNow architects developers testers and business stakeholders to align technical design decisions with agreed business outcomes for configuration and software asset management.
• Develop detailed project plans work breakdown structures and effort estimates that accurately reflect the complexity of CMDB data models and SAM license entitlements across enterprise environments.
• Monitor project progress using measurable milestones and key performance indicators adjusting plans and resource allocations to manage risk and maintain alignment with budget and timeline commitments.
• Conduct regular status meetings and progress reviews with stakeholders clearly communicating risks issues and dependencies related to ServiceNow CMDB integrations discovery coverage and software asset data quality.
• Drive requirements elaboration workshops to capture configuration item attributes relationships and software entitlement rules that support precise asset tracking and compliance reporting.
• Oversee design and implementation of CMDB and SAM processes that improve data accuracy establish clear ownership of assets and support efficient incident change and request workflows.
• Collaborate with security infrastructure and procurement teams to ensure ServiceNow SAM implementations reflect correct license positions contractual obligations and audit readiness standards.
• Guide testing and validation cycles for CMDB and SAM features defining test scenarios that verify data completeness reconciliation accuracy and end user experience for operational teams.
• Establish and maintain project documentation including charters RAID logs communication plans and runbooks so that ongoing CMDB and SAM operations are sustainable and auditable.
• Identify and implement opportunities to automate data collection reconciliation and reporting within ServiceNow reducing manual work and increasing reliability of asset insights for decision makers.
• Partner with business owners to define value metrics such as reduction in software noncompliance exposure improved asset utilization and faster incident resolution enabled by accurate CMDB records.
• Ensure hybrid work practices are effective by using collaboration tools clear communication cadences and shared repositories so distributed team members can contribute efficiently without travel.
• Align project delivery with organizational purpose by enabling responsible software usage improved cost control and reduced operational waste through high quality CMDB and SAM implementations that benefit customers and society.

Qualifications

• Require proven experience of eight to twelve years in project management with at least several years delivering ServiceNow based initiatives focused on CMDB and SAM capabilities in medium or large enterprises.
• Require hands on familiarity with ServiceNow CMDB concepts such as configuration item classes relationships discovery sources reconciliation rules and data certification processes used in production environments.
• Require practical understanding of ServiceNow SAM including entitlement management reconciliation software models and optimization of license consumption to reduce risk and cost.
• Require strong ability to create schedules manage budgets and handle risk and issue logs using recognized project management practices that keep ServiceNow work streams on track.
• Require excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to facilitate workshops negotiate priorities and translate complex CMDB and SAM topics into clear actions for technical and business audiences.
• Require experience working in hybrid work models where coordination of on site and remote participants is necessary to maintain momentum and shared context across project phases.
• Nice to have prior exposure to Hi Tech industry environments where complex product portfolios rapid release cycles and global operations influence asset and configuration management needs.
• Nice to have familiarity with service management domains integrated with CMDB and SAM such as incident change problem and request management to design holistic workflows.
• Nice to have experience using analytics and reporting capabilities within ServiceNow or external tools to present CMDB and SAM metrics that inform strategic and operational decisions.
