Job summary

Bayfield Equipment Corporation is seeking an experienced field service technician for on-site diagnosis and repair of construction and road machinery in the Philippines. The role requires performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical/hydraulic issues, and preparing detailed service reports.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in heavy equipment service, strong reading of technical manuals, and a willingness to travel to field sites, including Carmona, Cavite.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or another related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in heavy equipment service or construction machinery.
• Knowledge in hydraulics, electrical/electronic systems, and diesel engines.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and service manuals.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willing to travel and work in field assignments.
• Physically fit, safety-oriented, and able to work under minimal supervision.
• Holder of a valid driver’s license is preferred.
• Willing to be assigned in Carmona, Cavite.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site service, diagnose, and repairs for construction and road machinery.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and machine inspections following established industry standards.
• Diagnose and determine root causes of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system issues.
• Prepare and submit detailed service reports, including required parts and labor estimates.
• Assist with the commissioning, installation, and start-up of new equipment.
• Coordinate with the Parts Department to ensure timely access to necessary components.
• Support Service Engineers during field operations to effectively troubleshoot and calibrate machines with the proper diagnostic instruments.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
• Participate in technical training programs to enhance product knowledge and service skills.
• Deliver reliable and efficient service to ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Keep tools, diagnostic equipment, and company assets in proper working condition.
