Job summary

Makati Shangri-La, Manila, a premier hotel in Manila's central district, is seeking a Hygiene and Sanitation Supervisor. The role focuses on maintaining top sanitation standards across all hotel areas, ensuring safe food, beverage, water, and pool supplies for guests and staff.

The ideal candidate has a Food Science/related background with at least 5 years in Food Safety, trainer credentials, and auditing certifications, plus strong English skills and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Preferably graduated in Food Science, Food Engineering, Food Safety/Technology, Nutritional Sciences, Chemistry or Biology.
• Minimum 5 years in Food Safety or related fields (hotels, resorts, catering, food manufacturing).
• Trainer certification (Train-the-Trainer/Industry Trainer) with at least 3 years of food safety training experience.
• Have recognized food safety auditing certification (HACCP, ISO22000, FSMS, or FSSC 2000).
• Knowledge/experience in AFBI investigations.
• Knowledge of local hygiene requirements.
• Fluent English (and local language) in speaking and writing.
• Proficient computer skills (MS Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint).
• Capable of working independently and in a team.
• Able to work in shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Local package offered.

We are hiring for a Hygiene and Sanitation Supervisor.

As a Hygiene and Sanitation Supervisor, we rely you to:

• Ensure and monitor the maintenance / upgrade of sanitation and hygiene standards of the hotel
• Ensure all food and beverages served to guests and employees as well as the general water supply and pool water are free of microbiological, chemical and physical contamination.

We Are Looking For Someone Who

• Is preferably a graduate of Food Science, Food Engineering, Food Safety Food Technology, Nutritional Sciences, Chemistry or Biology.
• Has minimum 5 years of work experience in Food Safety or any related field, such as Hotels, Resorts, In-flight Catering or Food Manufacturing Industry
• Possess Train-the-Trainer Skills/Industry Trainer Certification and have atleast 3 years of food safety training experience.
• Posess recognized food safety auditing certification (HACCP auditor, FSMS Auditor ISO22000 Auditor, FSSC 2000 Certification)
• Has knowledge and experience in handling AFBI investigations
• Is knowledgeable of local hygiene requirements
• Communicates and writes with fluency in English (as well as the local language)
• Has proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, etc.)
• Is capable of working independently, as well as in a team environment
• Is able to work in shifts, on weekends and/or public holidays when needed
