Job summary

GoodWe in Manila is seeking a Technical Service Engineer to provide tele and on-site technical support for PV inverters, hybrids, and BESS. The role includes commissioning, troubleshooting, firmware/hardware updates, and reporting to head office.

Ideal candidates hold an electrical/electronics degree, have 1 year solar industry experience, strong problem-solving, customer-focused attitude, and willingness to travel frequently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronics field.
• Preferably 1 year in the solar industry dealing with product troubleshooting.
• Able to analyze problems independently and learn new technologies quickly.

Responsibilities

• Provide tele- and on-site technical support and after-sales assistance.
• Commissioning, troubleshooting, and firmware/hardware updates of PV inverters, hybrids, and BESS.
• Report to head office with clear descriptions on product failures.
• Evaluate PV plant performance by studying operation data regularly.
• Collaborate with installers and retailers to deliver excellent customer experience.
• Follow up on technical issues and maintain relationships with partners.

The Role：Technical Service Engineer

This position is based in Manila, Philippines with periods working from home and frequent travel.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for the tele- and on-site technical support and after sales support.
• Commissioning, troubleshooting, firmware/hardware updating of PV string, Hybrid / storage inverter and BESS.
• Reporting and following up with head office in relation to product failure with clear descriptions
• Evaluating PV plant performance by studying operation data on a regular basis
• Pro-actively work with installers & retailers and provide them best-in class customer experience.
• Regular follow-ups on the technical issues and build a healthy relationship with installer & retailers.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor degree or above: must be electrical or electronics background.
• Preferred minimum 1 year of working experience in the solar industry especially dealing with product trouble shootings
• Strong ability to analyze and solve problems independently.
• Reliable and self-motivated
• The ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Strong Microsoft office skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment,
• A friendly, positive and customer-driven attitude
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Adapt to frequent travel

Salary negotiable depending on experience
