Job summary

Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) in Makati seeks a Service Assistant in Institutional Banking to support the Relationship Manager in implementing loan transactions and servicing corporate clients.

The role involves coordinating with appraisal, title verification, and other departments; preparing credit documents; monitoring maturities; and handling billing statements and administrative tasks for timely, accurate servicing.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 4 year Bachelor’s/College Degree, related to Business, Banking or Finance
• Preferably with knowledge and experience in banking processes in loans and customer service
• Adept in the needed MS Office systems, good interpersonal relationship, oral and written communication skills, service oriented
• Willing to be assigned in MAKATI

Responsibilities

• Requests checks with other departments and collates results for RM/AO evaluation
• Prepares the documents needed to implement credit facilities
• Monitors submission of documents and insurance deficiencies by client to ensure completeness; maintains orderly files of documents for each account
• Prepares client requests such as statements of account, amortization schedules, interest payments
• Prepares requests to units such as partial release of collateral, collateral substitution, payment applications, instruction sheets, implementing memos
• Monitors loan repricing and maturities via mainframe reports
• Services loan and trade transactions; coordinates with booking unit and/or client to ensure implementation
• Prepares instruction sheets for RM/AO approvals
• Types promissory notes
• Reviews and sends billing statements; ensures timely collection to avoid past due charges
• Prepares reports for RM/AO, Market Head, Team Head and Division Head
• Performs other administrative work as assigned

Position Objective

The Corporate Banking Service Associate is responsible for assisting the Relationship Manager in the implementation of loan transactions and customer servicing functions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Requests checking with other departments (e.g. appraisal, title verification, trade checking, business checking, etc.) and collates the results for evaluation of the RM/AO
• Prepares the documents needed to implement credit facilities
• Monitors submission of document and insurance deficiencies by client to ensure completeness of requirements; also maintains orderly files of documents for each account to facilitate monitoring
• Prepares special requests of clients such as Statement of Account, amortization schedules, interest payments, etc.
• Prepares various requests to all units such as but not limited to partial release of collaterals, collateral substitution, application/re-application of payments, instruction sheets, implementing memos, etc.
• Monitors loan repricing and maturity dates of clients managed by RM/AO through reports from mainframe systems
• Services loan and trade transactions of clients and coordinates with booking unit and/or client to ensure implementation of a loan or trade transactions
• Prepares instruction sheets on loan or trade transactions for the approval of RM /AO
• Types promissory notes
• Reviews and send billing statements to clients and ensures that interest and principal amortizations due are collected and paid on time to avoid booking of accounts to past due and the client’s incurring past due charges
• Prepares reports/ provides information required by RM/AO, Market Head, Team Head and Division Head regarding accounts managed
• Performs other administrative work that may be assigned from time to time
