Job summary

Gothong Southern Careers is seeking a Technical Superintendent to oversee the technical operation, maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance of assigned vessels. You will ensure that vessel machinery and systems stay in optimal condition, lead preventive maintenance planning, and manage budgets while ensuring regulatory adherence.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Marine/Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in maritime tech operations or fleet maintenance, and hands-on PMS experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years experience as Chief Engineer.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in maritime industry, preferably in vessel tech ops or fleet management.
• At least two (2) years hands-on experience with Preventive Maintenance Systems (PMS).
• Strong knowledge of marine machinery, vessel maintenance, and maritime regulations (Class/Flag State).

• Ensure vessel machinery and systems are in optimal condition.
• Plan preventive maintenance and provide technical support.
• Manage budgets and ensure compliance with maritime regulations.
• Administer and implement PMS across the fleet.
• Coordinate maintenance planning, project management, and cost control.
• Conduct technical analysis and troubleshooting of vessel systems.
• Collaborate with shipboard and shore-based personnel.
