Job summary

Autokid Subic Trading Corporation is seeking an automotive Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, ensuring safety, performance, and customer satisfaction. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspect vehicles, and execute engine, brake, and electrical repairs while adhering to manufacturer standards.

The role requires reading manuals, using diagnostic tools, and coordinating with Service Advisors. On-site work with potential overtime is expected.

Qualifications

• Vocational course graduate in Automotive Technology or related field is preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience as an automotive mechanic.
• NC II in Automotive Servicing or equivalent certification is an advantage.
• Knowledgeable in vehicle diagnostics, repair procedures, and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service bulletins.
• Physically fit and capable of handling tools and equipment.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work on-site, overtime, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, general repairs, and troubleshooting on vehicles (cars and/or trucks).
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and engine-related issues using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and identify necessary repairs or replacements.
• Carry out repair work such as engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and cooling system repairs.
• Ensure proper use and care of tools, equipment, and service bay facilities.
• Follow standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and manufacturer specifications.
• Complete job orders, service reports, and repair documentation accurately and on time.
• Coordinate with Service Advisors and Parts Department regarding repair findings and parts requirements.
• Perform road tests before and after repairs to ensure quality work.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area.
• Support warranty repairs and recall services, as required.
• Perform other related tasks as may be assigned.
