This remote, independent contractor role requires strong leadership, extensive IT infrastructure experience, and the ability to guide engineers and manage cybersecurity risks.

The role aligns with AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Mon-Fri) and offers flexible time management as an independent contractor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or similar roles.
• Experience in MSP/IT solutions environment is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead IT projects and mentor teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement IT infrastructure solutions per client requirements.
• Lead technical projects from planning to handover.
• Resolve complex infrastructure, networking, cloud, and security issues.
• Act as senior escalation point for technical problems.
• Assess security risks and implement cybersecurity controls.
• Mentor engineers on complex tasks.
• Collaborate with clients to understand needs and propose solutions.
• Maintain project records and system standards.
