Hunt St Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant for a fully remote Philippines-based engagement with an established Australian client base. You will prepare and review Australian tax returns for individuals, companies and trusts, and support financial statements alongside tax work.

The role is 80% hands-on Australian tax work and 20% coaching junior accountants, with independent contractor terms and alignment to AU business hours.

Qualifications

• CPA qualification (Philippines) and Australian tax exposure are required.
• 3–5+ years of genuine Australian tax and/or business services experience.
• Strong hands-on experience preparing Australian individual, company and trust tax returns.
• Knowledge of Australian tax, accounting and compliance requirements.
• Experience with Australian SMEs and/or business owners.
• Ability to independently prepare high-quality tax returns, financial statements and workpapers.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Willingness to coach and mentor junior accountants.

Responsabilités

• Prepare Australian individual, company and trust tax returns.
• Prepare annual financial statements, tax calculations, workpapers and schedules.
• Prepare and review BAS and other Australian tax compliance work.
• Manage and progressively build a portfolio of clients.
• Coach and mentor three junior accountants.
• Support Manager with technical queries and quality control.
• Maintain deadlines and client follow-ups.
• Ensure high standards of accuracy and client service.
