Job summary

Sureste Properties Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Operator to ensure availability, performance, and compliance of enterprise systems by monitoring data center apps, infrastructure, and networks.

You will proactively detect, troubleshoot, and escalate system alerts to keep operations uninterrupted. You will lead major infrastructure incidents, coordinate with IT Operations Management, Server Infrastructure Teams, and Application Support Teams, and support ongoing process improvements and policy

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or related field.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux and Windows.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring tools and data center operations.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor enterprise applications, servers, infrastructure, and network systems.
• Detect, troubleshoot, and elevate system alerts, processing errors.
• Resolve hardware and software issues in accordance with SLAs.
• Manage and lead major infrastructure incidents.
• Monitor and perform file transfer operations.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, processing exceptions, and service disruptions.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers during equipment or circuit failures.
• Review open tickets and follow up with escalation groups until resolution.
• Prepare operational shift reports and conduct proper handovers between shifts.
• Manage the System Operator ticket queue.
• Generate and manage incident reports related to major infrastructure incidents.
• Act as Assistant Team Leader in the absence of IT Operations Management.
• Maintain operational documentation, logs, and support procedural compliance.
