Job summary

First Focus Information Technology, Inc. in Manila seeks an experienced Systems Engineer to support a portfolio of US-based clients. You will manage Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Azure, VMware/Hyper-V, and network infrastructure across diverse environments.

The role involves mentoring engineers, owning complex escalations, and contributing to automation with PowerShell while working during Pacific Standard Time business hours in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of Systems Engineering experience, ideally within an MSP environment.
• Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365, Azure and Windows Server.
• Advanced knowledge of VMware and Hyper-V.
• Excellent networking knowledge covering firewalls, switching, routing, DNS and VPNs.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory and identity management.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Experience with backup technologies such as Veeam, Datto or similar.
• Mentoring others and sharing technical knowledge.
• Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, MS-102 or similar are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Resolve advanced infrastructure, cloud and networking issues across multiple client environments.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365, Windows Server and Azure platforms.
• Troubleshoot VMware, Hyper-V and virtualised infrastructure.
• Support enterprise networking including firewalls, routing, switching, VPNs and DNS.
• Manage Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID and identity services.
• Support Azure IaaS services including storage, backups, virtual desktops and application gateways.
• Assist with Microsoft Purview and Zero Trust initiatives.
• Develop PowerShell automation to improve operational efficiency.
• Act as a senior escalation point for technical teams and mentor Systems Administrators.
