Fabtech Export Industries, Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural Steel Erection Foreman to oversee on-site structural steel erection and installation activities. You will ensure safety, schedule adherence, and quality per drawings and specifications.

You will lead erection crews, coordinate with engineers and subcontractors, and produce daily progress reports while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards and company policies.

About the role

The Senior Structural Steel Erection Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating all structural steel erection and installation activities at project sites. The role ensures that work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and quality standards. The foreman leads erection crews, coordinates with site engineers and subcontractors, and ensures compliance with company safety policies and industry regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and direct structural steel erection and installation activities on-site


• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and project requirements


• Ensure proper alignment, leveling, bolting, and welding of structural steel members


• Prepare daily accomplishment reports, manpower reports, and progress updates


• Coordinate with Project Engineers and Team Members


• Conduct daily toolbox meeting and orientation


• Interpret and implement approved structural drawings, erection plans, and specifications


• Coordinate daily work activities and manpower assignments for erection crews


• Monitor productivity and ensure work is completed according to project schedules

About you

• Graduate of a Technical/Vocational course, Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Technology, or any related field is preferred


• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in structural steel erection, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman capacity


• Extensive knowledge of structural steel erection methods, rigging, lifting operations, bolting, welding, alignment, and installation techniques


• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, erection plans, shop drawings, and technical specifications


• Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making skills with the ability to supervise multiple work crews


• Knowledge of construction safety standards, occupational health and safety regulations, and safe work practices related to structural steel erection


• Familiarity with construction equipment, lifting tools, cranes, and rigging operations


• Ability to prepare daily accomplishment reports, manpower reports, and progress updates accurately


• Good communication and coordination skills with Project Engineers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders


• Physically fit and willing to work on-site, render overtime, and travel to project locations as required
