Fabtech Export Industries, Inc. in Metro Manila is seeking a Structural Steel Leadman to supervise daily erection and installation on-site, ensuring safety, quality, and alignment with drawings and schedules.

The role leads crews, coordinates lifting and rigging, and reports progress to the Foreman, with travel to project sites and overtime as required. Hands-on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to work from shop drawings and specs are essential, along with TESDA or COSH

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in structural steel erection or fabrication is required.
• Ability to read and interpret structural/shop drawings and erection plans.
• Familiarity with safety standards, quality procedures, and on-site coordination.

About the role

The Structural Steel Leadman assists the Senior Structural Steel Erection Foreman in supervising and coordinating daily structural steel erection and installation activities on-site. The position serves as the direct leader of assigned crews, ensuring that work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules. The Leadman acts as the link between the foreman and field personnel, helping maintain productivity and workmanship throughout project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Foreman in planning, organizing, and executing daily erection activities
• Coordinate lifting and rigging activities under the direction of the Foreman
• Verify that tools, equipment, and materials are available before work begins
• Track daily accomplishments and report progress to the ForemanLead and supervise assigned structural steel erection crew members
• Assist in steel member alignment and fit up
• Assign daily tasks and monitor crew productivity and work quality
• Ensure work is performed in accordance with approved drawings, erection plans, and specifications

About you

• Vocational/Technical graduate in a related field; college level is an advantage
• At least 5 years of experience in structural steel fabrication and erection, with 2 years in a Leadman or supervisory role
• Knowledgeable in structural steel erection, fit-up, alignment, lifting and rigging, and interpretation of structural and shop drawings
• Familiar with construction safety standards and quality procedures
• Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills
• Physically fit and willing to work on project sites, render overtime, and travel as required
• Relevant certifications (e.g., TESDA NC II/III, COSH, Rigging, Working at Heights) are an advantage
