GHD Pty Ltd is seeking a Resident Engineer for a confidential port infrastructure project. The role requires leading a multidisciplinary site team, overseeing delivery, and ensuring compliance with contract documents and technical specs.

Regular reporting on progress, safety, quality, and cost is essential. The ideal candidate holds a civil engineering degree, is a registered Civil Engineer in the Philippines, and has 15+ years in heavy civil or marine works with contract administration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or closely related discipline.
• Registered Civil Engineer in the Philippines; additional professional accreditation advantageous.
• At least 15 years of relevant construction experience, with senior supervision and contract administration on complex marine/port works.

Responsibilities

• Lead the owner’s-engineer site team and coordinate inputs across civil, structural, marine, pavement, drainage, utilities and other disciplines.
• Administer the construction contract, including correspondence, submittals, variations, and progress reporting.
• Monitor contractor compliance with drawings, specs, method statements, quality, safety and environment.
• Coordinate staging, temporary works, and interfaces to minimise disruption to port operations.
• Review programmes, resources and risks; suggest mitigations for delays and constructability issues.
• Chair site and progress meetings and maintain relationships with client, contractor, designers and stakeholders.
• Oversee inspections, testing, commissioning, handover and close-out activities.
• Prepare concise daily to monthly progress, safety, quality, cost and risk reports.
