Job summary

GHD is seeking a skilled Materials Engineer in the Philippines to support marine and materials projects and manage small to medium-size engagements. The role involves leading assessments, developing repair strategies, and delivering client-ready reports.

You should have a civil and/or materials engineering degree (master's a plus) and PRC licensure is preferred, with about 5+ years of relevant experience. The position supports a hybrid office model in Makati or Quezon City.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil and/or materials engineering (or related discipline).
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in materials engineering, asset integrity, durability engineering, or related fields.
• Experience with inspection, assessment and remediation of existing assets and structures is highly desirable.
• Experience with cathodic protection systems, protective coatings, or corrosion mitigation is advantageous.
• Proven project management capability, including managing multiple projects and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver materials engineering assessments, including condition, durability, structural, residual life, and asset integrity assessments.
• Develop remediation, repair, life extension, cathodic protection, and protective coating solutions for assets and structures.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, design documentation, and client deliverables.
• Analyze and interpret materials, inspection, testing, and structural performance data.
• Undertake site inspections, investigations, and condition assessments to support project delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated engineering solutions.
• Support business development through proposals, client engagement, and technical presentations.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and best practices in materials engineering and asset management.
