The Senior Regulatory Compliance Analyst is responsible for providing high-level support to client's regulatory compliance function. This role is intended for a strong, experienced, detail-oriented professional who can handle non-routine compliance work, research, documentation, tracking, and regulatory follow-up with limited day-to-day instruction. Because client's compliance work is varied and judgment-based, this is not a repetitive processing role. The person in this role must be able to understand regulatory requirements, identify missing information, ask thoughtful questions, follow complex instructions, and elevate issues appropriately. The role will report to the Regulatory Compliance Analyst Lead and will support the company's efforts to keep compliance matters organized, documented, current, and moving forward
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance tracking and follow-up: Maintain compliance trackers, calendars, open-item lists, filing logs, and related documentation. Follow up on assigned items and flag approaching deadlines, unclear ownership, missing information, or delayed responses.
- Regulatory research and analysis: Research state DOI, NAIC, Secretary of State, and other regulatory requirements. Summarize requirements clearly and identify practical next steps, open questions, and risks.
- Filing and licensing support: Support filings related to certificates of authority, licenses, registrations, renewals, data calls, statistical filings, regulatory requests, and other compliance obligations.
- Documentation and file organization: Maintain organized compliance files, correspondence records, submission confirmations, supporting documents, and process notes so that work can be reviewed, audited, and continued by others.
- Issue spotting and escalation: Identify inconsistencies, missing documentation, unusual requests, deadline risks, or items requiring management judgment, and elevate them promptly to the Regulatory Compliance Analyst Lead.
- Process improvement: Help improve compliance workflows, checklists, trackers, and documentation standards so recurring work becomes easier to manage and less dependent on individual memory.
- Cross-functional coordination: Work with Finance, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Product, IT, and outside vendors or counsel as needed to gather information and keep compliance tasks moving.
