Job summary

D2B is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Estimator with proven New Zealand construction experience for residential and commercial projects. You will support estimating, tendering, procurement, variations and cost tracking, while ensuring accurate pricing and effective communication with clients and suppliers.

The role includes project-cost oversight, preparation of tender submissions, and basic project-management support as workloads vary.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in NZ construction estimating and cost management.
• Experience across residential and commercial projects.
• Ability to prepare detailed quantity take-offs and pricing.
• Skilled in tender submission preparation and documentation.
• Strong understanding of NZ terminology, pricing and processes.
• Excellent Excel and cost-management software skills.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specs and tender docs for accurate take-offs.
• Prepare labour, materials, subcontractor and prelim cost estimates.
• Develop scopes of work and pricing schedules.
• Prepare client quotations with schedules and timelines.
• Coordinate supplier and subcontractor pricing for tenders.
• Track costs, variations and back costing across projects.
