Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in the Philippines is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to organize and monitor production workflow, communicate expectations, and coach staff.

You will coordinate with HR, PC and IE to ensure resources and schedules align with the production plan. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in engineering, has at least 2 years in manufacturing (semiconductor preferred), and demonstrates strong people management, excellent communication, and a lean mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial/Electrical/Electronics) required.
• Minimum 2 years in Manufacturing; semiconductor industry preferred.
• Experience in people management is advantageous.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing and waste reduction practices.

Job Description:

Supervise staff manufacturing products; organizes and monitors workflow. Communicates job expectations, plans, monitors, and appraises results. Coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees while enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

• Maintains resource needs by working with HR, PC and IE.
• Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; observing waste and improving ways on how to minimize or eliminate it.
• Help support the company KRA by implementing cost reductions and improving cycle times.
• Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs.
• Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
• Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline of Engineering such as Industrial Engineering, Electronics, or Electrical.
• Minimum 2 years work experience in Manufacturing; preferably Semiconductor Industry.
• Experience in People Management, both DL and IDLs, will be advantageous.

  Other Requirements:

• Excellent in written and oral communication, with good interpersonal relationship skills.
• Basic use of analysis tools such as SPC, QC Tools, 8D, and PDCA.
• Knowledge in LEAN Manufacturing and 8 Wastes.
