Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join a broad team focused on manufacturing high-quality semiconductor products.

The role emphasizes adherence to SOPs, 5S practices, safety requirements, and company policies to maintain product integrity on the line. The position includes reviewing lot dispositions with quality issues, conducting inline audits, preparing quality reports, supporting product evaluations and machine buy-offs, and performing duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical courses are an advantage.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing industry, preferably semiconductor.

Responsibilities

• Review and disposition lots with quality issues.
• Conduct in-line audits and verify corrective actions from 8D reports.
• Prepare and maintain quality reports, including reporting non-conforming lots.
• Support product evaluations, machine buy-offs, and other quality-related activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Job Description

Follow all applicable SOPs, 5S practices, safety requirements, and company policies.

• Review and execute disposition of lots with quality issues.
• Conduct in-line audits and verify the implementation of corrective actions from 8D reports.
• Prepare and maintain quality reports, including reporting non-conforming lots.
• Support product evaluations, machine buy-offs, and other quality-related activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor

Requirements/Qualifications

• At least a High School Diploma, Vocational, or College Level; technical courses are an advantage.

Working experience

Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing industry, preferably semiconductor company.

Physical Abilities

Able to handle manual work and extend up to 12 hours as occasionally needed. Can handle prolong sitting and/or standing depending on the assigned station.
