Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. Philippines is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead production staff, organize workflow, and ensure on-time delivery. The role drives performance and quality in a fast-paced environment with strong emphasis on safety and continuous improvement.

You will coach teams, manage performance, and advance Lean manufacturing practices while partnering with HR, IE, and production planning. Travel is up to 25% as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electronics or Electrical).
  • Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience; semiconductor industry preferred.
  • Experience managing people (DLs and IDLs) advantageous.
  • Excellent written and oral communication; strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of SPC, QC Tools, 8D and PDCA.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff; organize and monitor workflow.
  • Communicate job expectations, plans, monitor, and appraise results.
  • Coach, counsel, and discipline employees while enforcing policies.
  • Maintain resources by working with HR, PC and IE.
  • Monitor process steps; minimize waste and improve cycle times.
  • Support cost reductions and improve production schedules.
  • Complete production plan by scheduling personnel; report results and revise schedules.
  • Maintain quality by enforcing standards; ensure equipment operation and repairs.
  • Compile production performance data and respond to requests.
  • Develop and revise procedures; manage budgets and controls.
  • Maintain safe, clean work environment and ensure policy compliance.
  • Resolve personnel issues; pursue ongoing professional development.
  • Contribute to team goals and adhere to company values.

Job Description:
  • Supervise staff manufacturing products; organizes and monitors workflow.
  • Communicates job expectations, plans, monitors, and appraises results.
  • Coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees while enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains resource needs by working with HR, PC and IE.
  • Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; observing waste and improving ways on how to minimize or eliminate it.
  • Help support the company KRA by implementing cost reductions and improving cycle times.
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs.
  • Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Implement and adhere with the Company Policy and Guiding Values.
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline of Engineering such as Industrial Engineering, Electronics, or Electrical.
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in Manufacturing; preferably Semiconductor Industry.
  • Experience in People Management, both DL and IDLs, will be advantageous.
  • Other Requirements: Excellent in written and oral communication, with good interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Basic use of analysis tools such as SPC, QC Tools, 8D, and PDCA.
  • Knowledge in LEAN Manufacturing and 8 Wastes.
