Job summary

Twilio is hiring a Principal Presales Engineer to enable our customers to build the future of communications. You’ll own technical discovery, architecture proposals, and product demonstrations for New Business and Strategic segments.

You will engage with executives and engineers, lead PoCs, and guide customers to optimal Twilio API solutions while mentoring peers in a fast-moving remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years pre-sales experience selling complex, technical products or 10+ years of professional experience in supporting technical products with customer-facing experience.
• Excellent communicator and presenter able to gain audience confidence.
• Engaging storyteller who can convey complex topics to diverse audiences.
• Ability to understand a customer’s communications needs and guide them to a technical solution.
• Previous software development experience or knowledge in areas like Backend (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP); Web development (JavaScript, HTML/CSS, React, Vue.js, Angular); REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical pre-sales activities including demonstrations, PoC, RFPs, design documentation and enablement sessions.
• Drive technical discovery and propose best-practice solutions using Twilio APIs.
• Establish trust with customers by understanding pains and designing innovative solutions.
• Deliver interactive, complex product demonstrations to show Twilio capabilities to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor junior Presales Engineers and contribute to the broader Presales community.
