Job summary

Twilio seeks a Senior Presales Engineer to join its remote-first Communications team. You will lead the technical pre-sales relationship, drive discovery, propose architectures, demonstrate products, and guide customers to the best product fit.

This role requires 5+ years in pre-sales or 6+ years in technical customer-facing roles, strong communication, and hands-on software development exposure across backend and web stacks; expect ~25% travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years pre-sales experience selling complex, technical products or 6+ years in technical roles with customer-facing experience.
• Excellent communicator and presenter able to gain audience confidence.
• Engaging storyteller who can simplify complex topics for multiple audiences.
• Ability to understand customer communications needs and map to technical solutions.
• Experience with software development or hands-on knowledge of backend/web technologies.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to execute pre-sales activities, including demos, POC, RFPs, design docs, and enablement sessions.
• Lead technical and product sales, recommending best-practice solutions and guiding customers on using Twilio APIs.
• Establish trust by understanding customer pains and designing creative, fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Create and present engaging product demonstrations to showcase Twilio capabilities to diverse stakeholders.
• Be a hands-on, high-energy problem solver who can lead others to success and drive improvements.
