Job summary

Allegro Microsystems in the Philippines is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead packaging projects, make design and process decisions, and ensure work meets scope, schedule, budget and quality requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop qualification plans, review data, and maintain thorough project records while adhering to AQP procedures.

Strong leadership and English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field (Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical).
• 3–5 years of semiconductor packaging and assembly engineering experience.
• Proven expertise in packaging/assembly processes and decision-making.
• Strong project-management principles and technical leadership.
• Proficiency with quality tools: DFMEA, PFMEA, Ishikawa, DRBFM.
• Excellent written and spoken English; strong communication.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage packaging projects from start to finish within scope and budget.
• Serve as packaging and assembly expert, guiding design and process decisions.
• Create bonding diagrams and contribute to design rules evolution.
• Lead BOM selection optimizing performance, cost, and manufacturability.
• Develop and execute qualification plans and tests.
• Review assembly data and qualification results to drive corrective actions.
• Track tasks and milestones; mitigate delays with corrective actions.
• Escalate risks to the Technical Project Manager with proposed solutions.
• Collaborate with design, product lines, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Ensure deliverables meet AQP requirements with documentation.
• Participate in Ishikawa or 8D analyses when issues arise.
• Contribute to updating Allegro’s package design rules.
• Maintain schedules, budgets, and technical specifications.
• Interface with Business Units for progress and resources.
• Mentor junior engineers when needed.
