Job summary

Allegro MicroSystems is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead semiconductor packaging projects, drive assembly process engineering, and ensure adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality. The role involves close collaboration with design, product lines, manufacturing, and QA teams to optimize performance, cost, and manufacturability while maintaining strict process controls and design rules.

You will manage bonding diagrams, BOM selections, and comprehensive qualification activities,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an engineering field.
3–5 years of semiconductor packaging and assembly engineering experience.
Ability to lead projects and make design/process decisions.
Strong knowledge of quality improvement tools (DFMEA, PFMEA, Ishikawa, DRBFM).

Responsibilities

Independently manage packaging projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
Act as packaging/assembly expert; guide design decisions and process engineering activities.
Develop bonding diagrams and contribute to design rules evolution.
Lead BOM selection for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
Develop and execute qualification plans and reviews.
Review assembly and qualification data; drive corrective actions.
Proactively track milestones and manage risks/constraints.
Collaborate with design, product lines, manufacturing, and QA.
Ensure deliverables meet AQP requirements and documentation standards.
Mentor junior engineers when needed.
