Job summary

ProV International PH is seeking a Senior Oracle Database & Linux Administrator to ensure secure, stable, and efficient operation of enterprise Oracle database platforms. You will own database lifecycle management, Data Guard, backup and recovery, migrations, upgrades, performance tuning, and operational support, with a strong emphasis on automation and cross-functional collaboration.

The role also covers Linux administration in Red Hat environments, working with the Linux infrastructure team.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, patching, backup and recovery.
• Proven experience with Oracle Data Guard administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience planning and executing database migrations and version upgrades.
• Experience with RMAN, Data Pump, OPatch, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Advanced SQL and PL/SQL skills.
• Experience in managing database security and compliance requirements.
• Experience planning and executing backup, restore, recovery, and DR testing.
• Strong Linux administration experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 6–10).
• Practical Linux patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, storage, networking, and system maintenance.

Role Purpose

The Senior Oracle Database & Linux Administrator is responsible for the secure, stable, and efficient operation of enterprise Oracle database platforms.

The primary focus of the role is Oracle database administration, including database lifecycle management, Data Guard, backup and recovery, migrations, upgrades, performance optimization, and operational support.

In addition to Oracle database responsibilities, the role is expected to contribute to Linux administration activities, primarily in Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments, and collaborate closely with the Linux infrastructure team.

The position combines operational support, project delivery, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives. As a senior technical specialist, the successful candidate will act as an escalation point for complex issues, contribute to technical designs and drive standardization and operational excellence.

Required Skills and Experience

Oracle Database

• Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, patching, backup and recovery.
• Proven experience with Oracle Data Guard administration and troubleshooting.
