The Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer is responsible for the end-to-end development, enhancement, and production support of enterprise applications and database systems. This role requires strong hands‑on expertise in Oracle PL/SQL development combined with the ability to support live production environments, troubleshoot incidents, and collaborate across application, infrastructure, and business teams. Full‑stack capability is preferred to support seamless system integration and faster issue resolution.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain complex Oracle PL/SQL components including procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and views.
- Provide Level 2 / Level 3 production support, including issue investigation, root cause analysis, and permanent fixes
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve database and application-related incidents in production environments
- Perform SQL optimization, performance tuning, and query refactoring for high-volume transactional systems
- Collaborate with application developers, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders for end-to-end solution delivery.
- Participate in system enhancements, bug fixes, patching, and release deployments
- Conduct impact analysis for change requests and production issues
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with coding and database standards
- Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles
- Support data fixes, reconciliations, and ad‑hoc reporting as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development with production support exposure
- Strong expertise in Oracle Database and PL/SQL programming
- Proven experience supporting mission‑critical production systems
- Solid knowledge of SQL performance tuning, indexing strategies, and execution plans
- Experience in application support, incident management, and root cause analysis
- Understanding of full SDLC, including development, testing, deployment, and post‑production support
- Ability to work in a support‑on‑demand or on‑call environment (if required)
Full Stack / Technical Exposure (Preferred):
- Experience with Java, .NET, or other backend application frameworks
- Basic to intermediate experience in frontend technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and system integrations
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux, shell scripting, and batch processing
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jira, and Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
Nice to Have / Advantage:
- Experience with Oracle Forms/Reports, Oracle APEX, or Oracle BI tools
- Experience in ETL, data migration, or data warehousing
- Oracle Certifications (OCA/OCP)
- Experience in regulated industries (banking, finance, insurance, telco)
