Job summary

RADIUS TELECOMS INC. in Pasig, Metro Manila, is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to lead planning, design, and deployment of carrier-grade networks. You will work on GPON/XGS-PON, IP Core, and optical transport projects, with POC testing and vendor coordination.

The role requires 5+ years in telecom/network engineering, strong knowledge of VLAN, BGP/MPLS, OTN/DWDM, and solid documentation skills. Hybrid collaboration with pre-sales and product teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or IT field.
• At least 5 years in network engineering, telecom, design or implementation.
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, and optical transport equipment.
• Solid knowledge of VLAN, STP/RSTP, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, NAT, DNS, MPLS, OSPF and BGP.
• Working knowledge of OTN, WDM/DWDM, and SDH technologies.
• Experience in network planning, deployment, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and support critical operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and engineering of carrier-grade networks.

• Conduct POC, equipment evaluations, and technical validation.
• Provide Tier 3 support for escalated incidents.
• Support Pre-Sales and Product teams on customer solutions.
• Coordinate with vendors on designs, quotations, and procurement.
• Ensure projects meet technical specs, service objectives, and quality standards.
• Develop documentation, network designs, implementation plans, and procedures.
• Lead troubleshooting and mentor junior engineers.

What You'll Do

• Lead the planning, design, and engineering of carrier-grade network infrastructure, including:

  • Carrier Ethernet Networks (Core, Edge, and Access)

  • GPON and XGS-PON Networks

  • IP Core Networks, Public IP Addressing, and BGP Peering

  • Optical Transport Networks (OTN, DWDM, and SDH)

• Conduct Proof of Concept (POC), equipment evaluations, and technical validation activities.

• Provide Tier 3 support for escalated and complex network incidents.

• Support Pre-Sales and Product teams on customized and non-standard customer solutions.

• Coordinate with equipment vendors regarding network designs, quotations, technical requirements, and procurement.

• Ensure network projects are delivered according to technical specifications, service objectives, and quality standards.

• Develop technical documentation, network designs, implementation plans, and operational procedures.

• Lead troubleshooting activities and provide technical guidance to engineering and operations teams.

• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge-sharing initiatives across the organization.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE), Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in network engineering, telecommunications, network design, or implementation.

• Strong hands-on experience with routers, switches, and optical transport equipment.

• Solid understanding of: VLAN, STP/RSTP, LAN/WAN Technologies, TCP/IP, NAT, DNS, MPLS, OSPF, and BGP

• Working knowledge of OTN, WDM/DWDM, and SDH technologies.

• Experience in network planning, deployment, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
