Job summary

A telecommunications company in Negros Occidental is seeking a qualified individual to work alongside a senior engineer in deploying and managing fiber networks. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and hands-on experience in routing and switching technologies. Responsibilities include configuring routers and switches, implementing BRAS services, and managing virtual environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in routing & switching technologies.
• Knowledge on VM Servers and Linux Server Administration.
• Familiarity with FTTH technology like OLT, GPON, EPON, etc.
• Knowledge of FTTH technology (OLT, GPON, EPON).
• Knowledge of wireless technology.
• Knowledge of databases and PHP.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside senior engineer to deploy and troubleshoot fiber networks.
• Configure and maintain routers and switches via CLI.
• Implement BRAS Services: PPPOE Sessions & rate-limiting.
• Configure static routes, OSPF Areas and basic BGP multi sites connectivity.
• Set-up VLAN's, LACP, & STP on Junos Switches.
• Manage DHCP, PPPOE server-settings for IPV4 & IPV6 address assignment.
• Define and enforce router-based firewall rules, ACL & Zone policies.
• Support & manage virtual environments
• Do change management for firewall upgrade & security checks.
