Job summary

Emerson in Mandaluyong City, Philippines, seeks an Application Developer with strong .NET Core backend and React frontend skills to design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications. You will own end-to-end feature delivery, design REST APIs, work with MS SQL Server, and collaborate on engineering standards within an Agile team.

You will participate in the full SDLC, perform code reviews, and contribute to CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps while coordinating with internal enterprise

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in full-stack web development with hands-on delivery in .NET Core and React.
• Strong proficiency in building REST API services using ASP.NET Core, including controller and route design, dependency injection, middleware pipeline, model validation, and authentication (JWT/OAuth2).
• Solid experience building React applications with modern JavaScript (ES6+), state management (Redux or Context API), hooks, responsive design, and integration with .NET Core REST API backends.
• Strong hands-on experience with MS SQL Server, including complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, indexes, schema design, and query performance tuning.
• Experience designing, versioning, and consuming REST APIs, solid understanding of HTTP patterns, authentication (JWT, OAuth2, API key), and integration with third-party enterprise services.
• Demonstrated ability to lead feature design, conduct meaningful code reviews, and drive engineering best practices within a delivery team.
• Solid familiarity with Git branching strategies, Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools, and sprint-based delivery with strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, and maintain .NET Core backend services and RESTful APIs, including controller design, middleware, dependency injection, authentication (JWT/OAuth2), and API versioning.
• Build and maintain React.js front-end components, including state management (Redux or Context API), responsive UI design, and integration with .NET Core API backends.
• Maintain MS SQL Server database schemas, stored procedures, views, and queries, while applying relational data modeling best practices for enterprise workloads.
• Lead technical design for complex features by translating business requirements into API contracts and data models.
• Integrate applications with internal enterprise systems and third-party REST APIs, defining integration patterns and error handling.
• Drive code quality within the team, conduct code reviews, identify technical debt, and improve engineering standards.
• Apply the full SDLC across the application portfolio, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Debug and resolve production issues across .NET Core, MS SQL Server, and React layers with documentation and CI/CD delivery practices.
