Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Senior Application Developer in Mandaluyong, Philippines, to lead the design and delivery of complex full-stack features using Node.js and React. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of full-stack web development with Node.js backend and React frontend delivery.
• Expert-level production Node.js services with Express.js or NestJS, including RESTful API design and authentication.
• Deep React expertise: components, hooks, state management, performance optimization.
• Proven PWA experience: service workers, offline caching, manifest, installability.
• MongoDB data modeling, aggregation, indexing, and performance optimization.
• REST API design, authentication patterns, versioning, and third-party integrations.
• Familiarity with Git branching, Azure DevOps CI/CD, and sprint delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of complex full-stack features from data model to API contracts and frontend implementation.
• Architect and build scalable Node.js backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Lead PWA architecture decisions including service workers and offline strategies.
• Design MongoDB data models and aggregation strategies; enforce NoSQL best practices.
• Deliver mobile-friendly React interfaces with responsive layouts and performance tuning.
• Drive code quality through standards, reviews, and debt reduction.
• Mentor mid-level and junior developers through reviews and pairing.
• Analyze production incidents; perform performance profiling across Node.js, MongoDB, and React/PWA layers.
• Contribute to technical roadmap and build-vs-buy decisions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning.
