Job summary

Emerson Electric (Asia) Limited - ROHQ is seeking an Application Developer in Mandaluyong to design and deliver enterprise-grade web apps. You will build .NET Core REST services and React front-ends, work with MS SQL Server, and shape technical design decisions within an Agile team.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of full-stack experience, strong English communication, and hands-on skills in SQL Server, Git, and CI/CD with Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in full-stack web development with .NET Core and React.
• Strong hands-on experience with MS SQL Server, including complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, indexes, schema design, and query performance tuning.
• Demonstrated ability to lead feature design, conduct meaningful code reviews, and drive engineering best practices within a delivery team.
• Solid familiarity with Git branching strategies, Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools, and sprint-based delivery with strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, and maintain .NET Core backend services and RESTful APIs, including controller design, middleware, dependency injection, authentication (JWT/OAuth2), and API versioning.
• Build and maintain React.js front-end components, including state management (Redux or Context API), responsive UI design, and integration with .NET Core API backends.
• Maintain MS SQL Server database schemas, stored procedures, views, and queries (SQL Server 2016 or above), while applying relational data modeling best practices for enterprise application workloads.
• Lead technical design for complex features by translating business requirements into well-structured API contracts, data models, and front-end component architecture.
• Integrate applications with internal enterprise systems and third-party REST APIs, defining integration patterns and handling authentication flows, data transformation, and error management.
• Drive code quality within the team, conduct thorough code reviews, identify technical debt, and recommend improvements to engineering standards and patterns.
• Apply the full SDLC across the application portfolio, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Debug and resolve production issues across .NET Core, MS SQL Server, and React layers, maintain technical documentation, and participate in Agile ceremonies and CI/CD delivery practices using Azure DevOps.
