Job summary

Emerson is seeking an Application Developer in Mandaluyong, Philippines, to build mobile-friendly PWAs powering enterprise tools. You will design Node.js REST APIs, deliver React front-ends optimized for mobile and desktop, and implement offline-capable PWA experiences backed by MongoDB.

You will collaborate with Product Owners, Analysts, and QA in an Agile environment, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery across the Mobile Apps Program.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of full-stack development with Node.js and React.
• Design REST API services with Node.js using Express.js or NestJS.
• Strong React proficiency including hooks, state management, and mobile-first design.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB data modeling and queries.
• Familiar with PWA features: service workers, manifest, offline caching, push notifications.
• Experience delivering REST APIs, authentication patterns (JWT/OAuth2), and error handling.
• Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools, and Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain full-stack web applications using React frontend and Node.js backend.
• Implement PWA capabilities for offline-first performance across devices.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs in Node.js for web and mobile clients.
• Design MongoDB collections, schemas, and queries to support data models.
• Create reusable React components with state management and responsive layouts.
• Integrate frontend apps with REST APIs and third-party services.
• Participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies to deliver quality solutions.
