Job summary

Our client is a growing construction services company seeking a remote Senior Mechanical & Plumbing Estimator to support preconstruction efforts for complex HVAC and plumbing projects. You will perform takeoffs, review plans, and coordinate with vendors and subs while integrating into a collaborative remote team.

The role focuses on hospitals, chilled water systems, and large commercial environments, with flexible hours aligned to U.S. Eastern time as needed.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree or equivalent construction estimating experience.
• Fluent English communication (written and spoken).
• 8+ years estimating experience in mechanical & plumbing construction.
• 2–3 years estimating with heavy plan & specification projects (chilled water, hospitals).
• Proficiency with AutoBid for mechanical & sheet metal estimating.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for mechanical, plumbing, and sheet metal systems.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents for complex projects.
• Utilize AutoBid for estimating mechanical and sheet metal work.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing and scope clarification.
• Prepare bid proposals, RFIs, and submittal documentation.
• Manage revisions and support preconstruction activities.
• Collaborate with internal project teams throughout bidding.
• Support project handoff from estimating to operations.
