Job summary

Lycopodium Philippines is actively recruiting a Senior Mechanical Designer to join our Manila-based Mechanical Design team. The role focuses on producing compliant mechanical designs using AutoCAD and MicroStation, following company and project standards.

The candidate should have a university degree in Engineering Design Drafting or 8+ years in a similar role, with strong knowledge of fabrication and process plant layouts. Leadership and mentoring are valued to support team development.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering Design Drafting or 8+ years in a similar role.
• Sound understanding of fabrication and construction techniques in the materials handling industry.
• Proficiency in design layout and detailing of materials handling and process plants (full plant layout experience is key).
• Experience with gold, base metals and iron ore is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in AutoCAD and MicroStation; produce mechanical designs in line with project procedures and standards.
• Ensure drawings comply with Australian and International Standards.
• Ensure correct use of project standard design details and notes in production of project drawings.
• Provide leadership, guidance and direction to the design team as required.

Lycopodium Philippines is currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Designer to join our growing Mechanical Design team in Manila.

The tasks you'll perform

• Be proficient in all aspects of AutoCAD and MicroStation software, complying with the necessary Company and project procedures.
• Produce mechanical designs are in accordance with Project, Client and regulatory standards.
• Follow and implement all relevant Company standards and procedures and ensure design drawings comply with all relevant Australian and International Standards.
• Ensure the correct use of project defined standard design details and notes are used in the production of project design drawings.
• Contribute to the team's professional development by providing consistent mentoring and identify avenues of development.
• Proactively support other team members as required to ensure Project deliverables are met.
• Ensure a high level of communication is attained within the design team.
• Provide leadership, guidance and direction to the design team as required.

The expertise you'll bring

• University Degree in Engineering Design Drafting or 8+ years' experience in a similar role with relevant industry experience.
