Job summary

Lycopodium Philippines is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our Manila team. You will produce models and drawings from design calculations, and review layouts for materials handling and process plants.

The role requires adherence to CAD procedures and standards, with attention to schedules and budgets. Ideal candidates hold a university degree in Engineering Design Drafting or have 3+ years of Mechanical Design/Drafting experience and strong plant layout proficiency.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering Design Drafting or 3+ years of Mechanical Design/Drafting experience.
• Proficiency in design layout and detailing of materials handling and process plants.
• Understanding of fabrication and construction techniques in materials handling industry.

Responsibilities

• Produce Lycopodium and industry-standard models and design drawings from engineer calculations and sketches.
• Appraise the layout and detailing of materials handling and mine plant design.
• Produce design drawings compliant with company CAD procedures and standards.
• Ensure project schedules and man-hour budgets are met for assigned work.
• Follow company standards and ensure drawings comply with Australian and International Standards.

Lycopodium Philippines is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Designer to join our growing team in Manila.

The tasks you'll perform

• Producing Lycopodium and industry standard models and design drawings from the design engineer calculations and sketches.
• Appraise the layout and detailing of materials handling and mine plant design.
• Produce design drawings that are consistent industry standard techniques and that comply to Company drawing office and CAD procedures.
• Ensuring project schedules and man-hour budgets are met for areas of assigned work.
• Follow and implement all relevant Company standards and procedures and ensure design drawings comply with all relevant Australian and International Standards.

The expertise you'll bring

• University Degree in Engineering Design Drafting or 3+ years' experience in Mechanical Design/Drafting
• Proficiency in the design layout and detailing of materials handling and process plants (full plant layout experience is key)
• Understanding of fabrication and construction techniques in the materials handling industry
