Job summary

Lycopodium Philippines is seeking a Senior Piping Designer to join the Manila design team. You will contribute to piping layouts, ensure compliance with Australian and international standards, and provide technical guidance across projects.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in piping design, strong CAD skills, and experience with OpenPlant Modeller and PID in process facilities. The role emphasizes mentorship and cross-team collaboration in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering Design Drafting or 8+ years’ experience in a similar role with relevant industry experience.
• Sound understanding of fabrication and construction techniques in the materials handling industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation; proficiency in OpenPlant Modeller and PID.

Responsibilities

• Produce piping designs in accordance with Project, Client and regulatory standards.
• Provide technical advice and support on planning and design processes.
• Lead and mentor the design team to ensure project deliverables meet standards.

Lycopodium Philippines is currently recruiting for a Senior Piping Designer to join our growing Piping Design team in Manila.

The tasks you'll perform

• Be proficient in all aspects of AutoCAD and MicroStation software, complying with the necessary Company and project procedures.
• Produce piping designs that are in accordance with Project, Client and regulatory standards.
• Provide technical advice and support on planning and design process.
• Follow and implement all relevant Company standards and procedures and ensure design drawings comply with all relevant Australian and International Standards.
• Ensure the correct use of project defined standard design details and notes are used in the production of project design drawings.
• Contribute to the team's professional development by providing consistent mentoring and identify avenues of development.
• Proactively support other team members as required to ensure Project deliverables are met.
• Ensure a high level of communication is attained within the design team.
• Provide leadership, guidance and direction to the design team as required.

The expertise you'll bring

• University Degree in Engineering Design Drafting or 8+ years’ experience in a similar role with relevant industry experience.
• Sound understanding of fabrication and construction techniques in the materials handling industry.
• Proficiency in all aspects of AutoCAD and MicroStation software
• Proficiency in the design layout and detailing of chemical, pharmaceutical or refinery process plants
• Experience in OpenPlant Modeller and PID
• Experience in gold, base metals and iron ore is advantageous
